How cute!

I love this picture it is just the cutest thing! Ellie always wants to help out with Elena whether it is changing her diaper or giving her a bottle she wants in. In this case she wanted to feed her and she did a great job! The kids just love Elena and they always want to play with her, sometimes they fight over who gets to feed her a bottle or who gets to hold her in their lap. Usually it's "I asked first!" and "I never get to do it!" It is pretty funny and cute. They just can't get enough of her! Sometimes they fight over who gets to sit next to her in the car but poor Ellie hardly ever gets to because her booster seat is in Dad's car so when we all go somewhere together we have to drive two cars because we all can't fit in one.

Long time

It has been a long time since I posted anything (not that there isn't anything to talk about) there is plenty to talk about but the problem is time. I don't really have time at work to post and plus I don't want my boss seeing that I spend a lot of my time doing other things besides work. It would be a whole lot easier if we had a computer at home, but we don't, so....

Hopefully we can get a computer some time soon and I can post things when I get home, I just hope I don't become a crazy addict!

Vacation!!

Sickie

Elena is sick....she has had some congestion for a while now and the other night she just kept coughing so I thought I would stay home with her so she could get some more rest becuase lately we have had to wake her in the morning to get her ready to go to the sitter's and I hate having to do that! So yesterday I wasn't at work and she woke up at about 8ish and I think that helped a lot and we also got a humidifier. Later on in the day she had a really long nap and that was good, she seemed to feel a lot better in the afternoon. I hope it goes away soon though!

I was able to get some cleaning done so that was good too! (not so fun though)

This is a little random, but I'd like to start adding some pictures fo the other kiddos. This is Shannon, age 9, flying through the air after going down the slide. The kids had a blast swimming in my sister's pool in St. George.

Pictures

It finally happened! We had picture day for Elena last night and her appointment was at 5:20pm. It took forever to get in! By the time we got in Elena had already lost her silliness for the day. It went well anyway she was still pretty happy and the picture turned out so cute! They gave us another free 8 x 10 because we had to wait so long, so that was cool. Todd had to meet me there because I went there straight after getting Elena ready at the sitter's house so while we were waiting for the picture slide show to select our favorites Todd and Elena went home because we had no idea how much longer it would take (especially choosing our favorites). I ended leaving there at 7:35pm!

Well worth it though!

Now I just have to plan getting family pictures done! All six of us! I want to do them in February when Elena is a year old. That is going to be hard I think but fun.....I hope.

Long Break but not Long Enough

We had a good break! Thursday we just hung out, we wanted to go to McD's for breakfast and it was closed so we ended up going all over the place searching for somewhere to eat! We finally found a BK open in Spanish Fork just when we stopped looking. We ended up going there anyway....



We went to Kmart and Macy's (the grocery store) and bought a few items. Later on in the evening Todd and I went to Chuck-a-rama cuz we were starving and we left Elena with my parents. I had made arrangements with my parents to go shopping Friday morning...we decided that I would pick them up at around 3:30am.



I ended up going to bed Thursday night at about 12:00am because we were busy watching the lastest Die Hard movie and I wanted to finish it. I got up at 3:00am hurried and got dressed and ready to go (and no I did not do my makeup cuz I think it is just dumb when people do that, no one cares!) Todd and Elena stayed home and had their little day together. So I go over to my parents and see that the lights are all out except for downstairs so I go and knock on the door and sure enough they had slept in! They were all worried that I wouldn't get there on time, they felt silly. At least it didn't take them long to get ready.



First stop....Jc Penney's.....quite a few people there, grabbed a few things for Elena and Todd, afterwards we were off the Macy's and on the way there we stopped at IHOP to get some breakfast and it was a good thing my mom noticed it was open because there was hardly anyone there so we didn't have to wait forever. THEN we went to Macy's....again quite a few people but not too crazy. Bought some stuff for Elena and my niece and some stuff for myself and for Todd. Then we went to Mervyn's and man it was crazy there! A bunch of people all over the place making lines that never seemed to end. Again I got more stuff for Elena and one more item for myself, then we headed home.

I got home showed Todd all of the stuff I bought jumped in the shower and got all the last minute things ready for our trip to St. George. I was exhausted and fell asleep in the car!

We had a good time in St. George, we always do, we just weren't there for very long but still worth the trip!

Day Made!

Today I received beautiful roses from my sweet, sweet and loving husband! They are so beautiful!!! I totally wasn't expecting it!

I was having a sort of rough week I guess and had a bit of a melt down....

I will have to take a picture to show them off!

Didn't Happen

I am sad to say that yesterday's picture day did not happen....for one thing Elena was all sleepy AND I could not find all the accessories I needed for her. I was pretty upset about it but hopefully I can make another appointment soon.

Picture day!

Today is picture day for Elena! I love picture day (not for me though). She is going to wear these cute little over-alls that my sister bought and it has a little jacket, (all denim of course) and it has little pink and orange type flowers on it, so cute! I bought her a long sleeve half turtle neck type onsie for her to wear underneath. I think this time I can remember to take the stinkin' care bear! The photographer chick told me to coordinate with Elena so that I can be in a few picures with her so that she can feel at ease. I didn't plan on anything like that so I really don't have anything to wear. She did tell me that I don't have to buy any of those pictures anyway. I probably won't because I really don't think they will turn out that great with me in them....maybe I would think differently if I were skinnier.....oh well we will see how they turn out.

I know Elena will just look perfect!

Crawling!

Elena is crawling!!! She has been teasing us pretty much this whole month! Finally yesterday she decided to give us a show and started crawling with more little steps, by the end of the day she had mastered it. It is so cute to see her move around her big butt up in the air, so funny!

Thyroid

I have an appointment on the 21st to check out my thryroid and my doc told me to get my blood drawn a few days before the appointment so they could have it all ready. I decided to do it a whole week early just to be safe so I went on the 14th, the next day I get a call from the doc's office and the nurse told me they got the results and it showed that my thyroid is underactive, meaning I have Hypothyroidism (the one that makes you gain weight). So they put me on some medication to try and control it. When I had gone in the first time it was overactive (I was losing weight). Basically it is an experiment because when I go for my appointment on the 21st they are going to check it again to see how the medication is working and if it needs tweeking. So really it could be an up and down situation which doesn't sound fun.... :(

Anniversary!!

Yesterday was our anniversary!! (11/5) We went on a weekend getaway to Brian Head we had BaBy CaKeS with us but that was ok I thought she was way too small to be without us over night, so I guess it was more of a family getaway. We had a good time in the condo just relaxing and watching movies and of course eating a bunch of junk food.

Last night we went out to dinner (just the two of us) we went to Mcgrath's and it was delicious. My parents and my sister got us a present it was a sun wall ornament it is totally awesome. I've wanted to get something like that for a long time, we appreciate it very much!

We have been married for two years now and I am very happy that I am married to such a wonderful man! He means everything to me and I cannot imagine my life without him, he has done so much for me in the last 3 years that I cannot think he could possibly do more. I think of my life before I ever met him and I ask myself "how did I ever survive before he came into my life?" You know the saying "you don't know what you have until it is gone" ? Mine is "you don't know what you were missing until you have it".

St. George Trip

We were in to St. George over the weekend, all 6 of us! We had a blast! I love going there....Todd's family is so great and so much fun. Todd's brother in-law is a pilot and he took us on a flight in a 4 seater plane! It was so amazing!! He took us over Zion's National park and I have never been there and seeing it from above was just incredible! I will never forget that experience...Thanks again Dennis we just can't thank you enough!!!!

Another Trip

This weekend the three of us went to Colorado to visit some family and we got to meet my brother's baby girl! She is soooo tiny I almost didn't want to hold her! She is so cute! When Elena met her she just looked at her like "what is this little thing?" She just kept looking at her and reaching out to grab her....it was very cute. We took pictures of the two together and I will post them as soon as I can.

I really wish my bro lived out here, I think it would be great especially for the cousins to know each other from babies on up. I already miss them and we just got back yesterday....in fact I started missing them the moment we had to say goodbye.

Jazz Game

Last night we went to a Jazz game! It was fun but not as fun as other times I have gone (which has only been like 3 other times). I don't know any of the players anymore just that Kierlinko dude or whatever he is the only one I recognize....it just isn't the same anymore.

We kind of got the tickets last minute, Todd's co-worker Bobbie offered him the tickets he asked me if I wanted to go and I was like "of course!" Except for I did say that exactly....

We drove to Sandy and took the tracks the rest of the way because I have never been on them before and I thought it would be cool. It was interesting and there were some interesting people on board too...but that's ok.

We had great seats! not too far and not up front either but still good. We sat right next to Todd's ex-wife's sister and her husband who also works at Neways...it was kind of weird but they are super nice, I'm not sure what Todd thought about it he just agreed that is was kind of weird. They offered to drive us to Sandy to get our car so that we wouldn't have to take the tracks and take even longer to get home. That was nice of them too.

Lazy Weekend

Saturday was the laziest day ever! I was so freaking tired on Friday and we were out all night with Todd's family totally worth it though because it was fun. Elena decided to wake up at about 7:45am on Saturday and I was thinking "oh, please go back to sleep" but she didn't so I changed her diaper and we hung out for a minute but I was sooo sleepy still. Finally Todd wakes up, gets out of bed and takes Elena downstairs to feed her and play. I tell him that I didn't want to sleep in too late because I wanted to be able to do some things together outside of the house. He tells me he will come back in a little bit to wake me up. He then comes up later and says that Elena is tired and lays her next to me so that she can sleep, I asked him what time it was and he tells me it is about 9:00 or so. He gets in bed too because he is also feeling sleepy and well I wasn't about to get up. We rested for a while longer we finally wake up except for Elena she is still snoozing and we realize it is 11:30am!!! The whole day is pratically gone!

We had some breakfast (egg sandwiches Todd makes that are so delicious) and we go to Crest to get drinks (still in our pj's but we went to the window) and go back home, by now it is like 1:00pm or so, I can't even remember what else we did but I didn't get in the shower until about 6:45pm, I know it is nasty....

So the big thing of the day was going to Crest to get a drink....sad.....

Ditch Day

Todd and I ditched work yesterday! I had a rough week and by the time Friday came around I was being a beast and the weekend didn't help me as much as I thought it would. The three of us went to IHOP and enjoyed our breakfast then we went and had my ring cleaned because it just wasn't looking very shiny anymore and now it looks fabulous again. We just kind of hung out then we went home and the three of us had a long long nap, it felt great.

Saturday Elena, my mom and I went to the baby fair and got some coupons and entered Elena in the baby contest, she didn't win.....although she was the cutest baby there, her picture just didn't turn out as great. We went to a Kindermusik class and she had fun, I would like to go to more I think it would be a great experience. We also won a $50 gift certificate to Archivers which is so funny because I was thinking about doing a scrapbook for Elena (even though I have no idea where or how to begin one) and we also won some leg warmer looking things for baby cakes but they are a little tight around her thighs (of course) but they are super cute.

Giggle

I totally forgot!! The other night we were getting ready for bed and Elena was squirming around and I had a huge headache, so while she is settling down I'm just lying there wanting my headache to go away and at last Elena is asleep, a few minutes laters she begins to giggle and I look at her and Todd says "what is she doing" I said "she is giggling in her sleep" we start to laugh then a few seconds later she giggles again. It was the cutest thing ever!! She must have been dreaming about something funny....

Another weekend

This weekend was ok except for the weather! Friday Todd came and picked me up after work with Elena so we could go straight to Layton to pick up the kids. The ladies I work with went out to our car to see Elena and they of course were all over her, they were saying that she was so cute and they were talking to her but little missy would just stare at them trying to figure out who they were.

We drove up to Layton to get the kids but this time it was just Christopher and Ellie, Shannon stayed so that she could go to a slumber party but that was ok since we will have them again this weekend. We really didn't do much mainly because of the weather but we went to dinner on Saturday...I had a good time because we went to Olive Garden and I have been wanting to go there forever!

Elena just loves it when the kids come over, she gets so excited when she sees them! It is so cute!! I think it will be sad when she gets older and the kids have to go home she will probably cry everytime, I wish she could see them more often.

Sick

I still have a sore throat and it seems to feel worse at the end of the day (maybe I talk too much). I missed work again yesterday because now the other eye got jacked up and I slept in until 12:30pm! That helped a lot I think but I guess I need to be patient to get 100% better, I just hope that Elena and Todd don't get sick.

I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired!!

Trip

The trip went well although it felt like we were gone for a week! I called Todd as soon as we got there and we talked on the phone forever. We were also texting each other throughout the days.

I had a good time because I was able to see my aunt and my uncles and cousins and my bro, it is too bad they don't live closer but they aren't too far away I guess. My family just loves Elena even people who aren't family just love her! She was being such a silly girl, she would clap with music that was playing, she would even start to dance a little bit (which I am happy about since I love to dance).

Todd wasn't totally bored while we were gone he went to see a movie, pigged out on ice cream, ate some nasty cup O'noodle that he said smelled funky but it didn't stop him from eating it. Saturday he did some yard work, vacuumed and went shooting with his family.

Sunday I woke up with a funky red eye! (I had a sore throat since Friday) Missed work Monday and went to the doc and found out I have "pink eye" and I have no idea how I got it but I look nasty AND I have to wear my glasses because my contact lenses might be infected so I look even worse. I just can't seem to stay healthy for longer than two weeks! What's next and ear infection!?

Gone

So, Elena and I are going out of town this weekend for a baby shower in Rangely, CO for my bro's baby. It is going to be so weird because Todd will not be joining us on our trip! I have never been away from him in the almost two years that we have been married!!! (I know some of you are going to read this and think that I am lame or all mushy but I don't care) The reason he isn't going is because my dad isn't going so he doesn't want to hang out with people he doesn't really know and can't communicate with since my family there doesn't speak English and I think my bro will be working.

I am sad about it because we will be gone from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and to me that is a LONG time. I have to go because if I don't then I will feel bad about it since I had already told Sara we would be there plus I don't have an excuse not to go (I do feel a cold coming on though). Anyway maybe Todd will party while we are gone and do a whole Tom Cruise thing and dance around with a broom wearing just his underwear a shirt and a tie and some glasses....you never know....

Thinking

Now that I have posted some more pictures I realize that Todd and I don't really have any pictures together...well....we have one recent picture that we took with our little camera BUT I'm like 6 or 7 months pregnant so I look massive!

Some day I would like to have pictures done of just the two of us, they don't have to be professional but they at least have to look professional. Too bad we don't know anyone who can. :(

I think I want to wait until I lose a few more pounds like I don't know....say....20! I know what Todd will say about having our pictures done, he will say that he doesn't want to because he is too fat and that he doesn't know how to relax and do a real smile, that's ok though because hey at least I'll look good. ; )

New

Well another day at work and I'm a little bored but the good thing is that my bosses aren't here so I can do what I want....oh wait....not much of a difference. Everyone I work with is pretty cool and laid back so it makes it easier to come to work everyday.

I'm trying to add new and cool things to the blog but I guess I just have to figure it out ony my own so that means that it might never happen. We'll see...

Little miss Elena has a stuffy nose again, I'm not sure what is going on now but I'm guessing that maybe a new tooth is coming in. She already has two that are showing but they aren't completely out yet. They are so cute! Now she know that she can use them to destroy things because last night she was tugging at her little blanket with them, I think she wanted to shred it up. She is such a silly little girl!

Boring

Well yesterday was kind of a boring day...work then go home. The only great part of the day is seeing baby cakes and Todd which makes me very happy! I pick up Elena from the sitter and we go home and she usually takes a nap which gives me time to do things around the house the only hard part is that she doesn't nap for very long but she will sit and play for a while. She is happy as long as I am within her sight.

I guess there was one "exciting" thing yesterday and that was that Elena pooped on me....I was feeding her and all of a sudden she starts grunting, I thought to myself "oh man, I hope it doesn't come up her back". Sure enough it did! It wasn't a sudden thing, I just kind of felt this warmth on my lap. (it isn't the first time she has done it) I thought it was hilarious but I don't think Todd thought it was as funny since it also got on the sofa.

Last night I wanted to get a treat after dinner I didn't know exactly what I wanted then Todd suggested a shake but we didn't get to go because Elena fell asleep, I think all that grunting made her tired. :) So instead Todd went out and bought me a bag of chocolate chips (I've been wanting some for a while) I thought it was very sweet!

Weekend

Well the weekend was ok, we had the kids and we hung out a bit. Saturday we went to the park and had a picnic....me, Todd, Ellie, Shannon, and Elena, Christopher was at a friends house like the whole freakin' day but at least he had a good time. Later that evening we went to see "Transformers" (second time for Todd and me) and the kids loved it, especially Cristopher (Critter). I knew he would like it! I totally love the movie! I could watch it over and over again.

Sunday was just kind of laid back....we had to take the kids home we left at about 5:30pm and poor little Ellie was crying her eyes out because she didn't want to leave her daddy she kept saying "I want to stay with you!" I know she has a good time with us, I personally think she gets more attention from her dad than her mom but I don't know that for a fact.

How awesome is that!? I've never seen a blog before but it's pretty cool. And Elena looks so darn cute!!

Welcome

Hello everyone and welcome to our litte thing! I am new at this so I have no idea what I am doing but I will try and figure it out as best and as fast as I can.

I am Lynda Ericksen and my husband is Todd, we have a beautiful child together and her name is Elena. I hope to post pictures soon and they will be mostly of my little baby cakes!
