"Up Chuck"

This is another of our favorite weekend activities....Chuck-O-Rama!! Critter wasn't with us this time since he didn't want to go to Chuck E Cheese's. He was quite content playing X-Box 360 Live at home with his best buddy. I couldn't get Elena to look over for the pic, but I did get shots of the other 3. I always think it's interesting to see what the kids bring back on their plates. This time Ellie scored peas from the salad bar and green Jello. Shannon and Lynda did the "meat and potatoes" thing and Elena had a little of everything.

Girls just wanna have fun!

The girls LOVE going to Chuck E Cheese's! We haven't taken them there for a long time so when they brought it up, off we went. They had such a great time! Ellie loves the little rides the most as you can see from the pic. Shannon likes the games that allow her to get as many tickets as possible. Going there costs more than going to a movie, but the smiles are SO worth it!!

When the kids come we try to do things that will be fun and memorable and keep them busy so that they don't get bored. They can do that at home. It isn't the easiest or most economical way to do weekends but we feel that it's worth it to have fun together and build family relationships. It's awesome!! Lynda and I love our 4 kids and we try always to do what is the best for them.

A year with Elena

Birthday!!

Today is Elena's birthday!! I cannot believe she is already a year old! It has been such a wonderful and beautiful time with our baby girl in our lives, she is the greatest thing to happen to us. I feel like I just had her last week! She has grown so much physically and also in her personality. She is a very silly girl who loves to laugh and make us laugh as well. One of her favorite things to do is try and scare us, so she hides behind a wall and pops out at us, it is very cute. She also loves to dance and right now her favorite song is "Ladies Choice" by Zac Efron from the movie "Hairspray", that is also her favorite movie she loves the singing and dancing.

Elena gets so much attention everywhere we go! People are always coming up to us and saying "oh, what a cute baby!" or "She is adorable!", "She is the cutest thing ever! Look at those cheeks!" and "she is so beautiful!" I think it is funny that she even gets the attention of men but then again so do I.....j/k. Sometimes we get a few weirdos but I think they mean well.....one time we were at the mall and I had to run into the Children's Place to get Elena some emergency clothes because she had an accident and these ladies were in there and came up to us, they were practically screaming, they were so loud and they kept saying "She is so cute and chubby! Look at those cheeks, I just want to bite them! Look at her thighs, oh she is just the cutest thing I've ever seen!" So then that brought some other ladies over....it was so weird, I felt like I needed to run away or something. Maybe I should start charging!

Elena is a beautiful and sweet girl, I feel so blessed to have her in my life! I love her so very much and until you have a child of your own do you understand how much love you can have for someone. Even before they are born you have this love for someone you have never even met. It is truly one of the most amazing and incredible feelings in life!
