Great Day!

It was just a normal boring Friday day at work, sitting staring at my computer not wanting to do the small tasks I had to do. Suddenly the mail delivery lady comes into my office (which never happens) and she asks me "Are you Lynda?" I said yes with a puzzled look on my face. She then hands me a long box and then I notice that on the box there is a picture of flowers. You guessed it.....I got ROSES! I was totally surprised!! They were beautiful! Why did I get roses you ask? Well according to the card that came with it "Just cuz XOXO - Todd" How sweet is that?! That made my day, in fact, it made my week.

I had to take as many angles as possible to show just how beautiful they are! I don't know how to arrange them so this is the best I could do.

Picture Day!

We had picture day on Sunday! My sister wants to get started in photography and I told her she should practice by doing our family pictures and she agreed to do it. We just did the three of us for now, we will have to do some with all of us another day. I had Elena's hair all cute but she got mad because she fell so she took it out on her cute hair so we had to just do something quick style. Also one of her eyes was irritated so you can tell in some of the pictures but overall I think they look pretty good.

This one is my favorite....I think.

Here we are trying not to laugh because Elena kept saying "nooo" every time my sister would count to three in Spanish to take the picture. We have no idea why she was doing it but it was so funny.

This is just cute!
Todd kept forgetting to take off his glasses...
This one is so cute too!
This one is one of the first ones, you can tell that we aren't really comfortable yet.
Same with this one.
I think this one is cute too.
I like Todd and Elena in this one.
Elena didn't really want to sit there too long.

She is one funny girl!
We still have to crop the pictures and all that good stuff. Then we will send some off to our families!

Coco

I thought I would post about Elena and her cocos (that is what we call her little injuries) she has had her falls and her bumps but she is pretty good at being tough about them. On occasion she has those that are just awful! We are glad that she hasn't had anything major! Here are a few pics of some injuries.

This one is her first scraped knee. She just wanted to run and run on the sidewalk and well.....she fell. She just whined a little but that was about it.

This one happened at Daycare. She was trying to be a big girl and walk down some steps, she stumbled and hit the floor with her face because she had something in each hand and so she couldn't catch herself.
Here her injuries are starting to scab over so they look much worse.
She healed quickly and now it is like nothing ever happened. Even with those scabs on her face she was still the cutest thing!

A day off

The other day we woke up not feeling so great in the morning so Todd and I decided to stay home. Todd was up at about 7:30am and couldn't get back to sleep. Elena and I slept in until 9:00am (which hardly ever happens). Todd wanted to go to McD's for breakfast so we quickly went to grab something and brought it back home. I didn't know what to get Elena so I thought she would like a 99 cent sausage McMuffin. I knew she wouldn't be able to eat the whole thing but it was cheap so it really didn't matter. At first I cut it up in small pieces so that it would be easier for her to eat it but since she saw that we were taking big bites of ours she wanted to do the same. The sandwich looked so huge in her tiny hands.
Later on after breakfast Todd finally got sleepy and napped for a little bit while Elena and I cleaned up the kitchen and watched her Letter Factory movie. We were feeling better so I suggested going to Provo Canyon. We all got ready and before we new it lunch time was around the corner. We were thinking of what to have for lunch then Todd thought we should go somewhere.....good old Chuck-a-rama for us! We of course pigged out! We then went to Provo Canyon and stopped at Nunns Park. It was Elena's first time there and she was able to see some butterflies! She was chasing them around for a bit. We were just walking along enjoying the scenery and Elena just had to pick up every stick she came across.
Elena having a ride on Papi's shoulders ....
They are having a great time together! Big smiles!!
Beautiful!
Elena isn't too happy to be in the picture she just wanted to be running around.
These are a lot better.
There she is with a stick again!
She certainly loves to play with sticks....
So much so that she thought maybe it would taste good.
Gorgeous baby girl!
Handsome!
This picture would have been great but Elena really wanted to run around...it is still cute though.
